There’s something about the shifting of seasons from summer to fall that seems perfect for babywearing—cooler temps, mean more time outdoors…and more opportunities to get out and enjoy those special, autumnal activities while wearing your baby.
We’ve gathered a list of fun places to visit while babywearing that you’re sure to love. Let’s dive in!
Check your local area for a pick-your-own orchard near you—and you may be surprised how many options are available!
These are wonderful options for the family and perfect for babywearing, as you can keep your little love cuddled up close while still having use of both hands for pail carrying and fruit picking.
Many local orchards offer tours of their facilities and plenty of sweet photo ops, and it’s a great way to teach older children about where their food comes from (young learners are often surprised to discover their favorite apples aren’t actually grown at the grocery store!).
Pumpkin patches have really grown, both in size and popularity! Gone are the days of choosing your pumpkin from a few dozen gourds stacked on wooden pallets. These days, pumpkin patches have become full-fledged events…and babywearing makes it easy to see everything!
Walk through endless rows of pumpkins, enjoy a hayride, or navigate your way through a corn maze. All are enjoyable fall activities made infinitely easier when you don’t have to worry about navigating with a clunky stroller in tow.
With cooler temps comes the turning of leaves in many parts of the country. Regardless of whether you live in an area with a lovely autumn display, fall is a wonderful time to hit the trail with your family.
If you’re going to be out for a long hike, remember to take plenty of water and to dress in layers that you can remove or add easily as the temperature changes.
And, speaking of the weather, be sure to check your local forecast before heading out. The last thing you want is to be caught outdoors during a fall shower. Trust us that a wet baby makes for a miserable hiking experience.
And there you have it—four fun activities you’ll love to engage in while babywearing. Now go make the most of the beautiful weather, wherever you are!

Halloween is a fun holiday for young and old alike. So many memories are made, and we adults look back fondly on our memories of dressing up and going door-to-door for candy as we continue the tradition with our little pumpkins.
It’s tons of fun…but it also produces a ton of waste. The average trick-or-treater creates 1 pound of trash and, considering there are over 40 million children in the U.S. alone, the amount of waste produced is staggering.
